Small routes are optimized instantly through Google's routing API; once a route grows past what that API allows in a single request, it automatically falls through to a second optimization engine built for large stop counts, so a 100-stop day gets planned exactly as reliably as a 5-stop one — no separate button, no manual splitting. The result shows total distance and drive time up front, and the stop order can still be dragged and reordered by hand afterward if something needs to change.
